Service Description

Sign up for one clinic ($79) or all three in a series designed to get you excited to be outdoors and ride your mountain bike. By the end of the series you will have the skills to climb better, descend safer, ride over roots and logs with more ease and corner faster. MTB CLINIC 101 - Proving Grounds June 30th, 5:00 - 6:30 pm and 7:00 - 8:30 pm Fine tune your bike handling skills in a safe and controlled environment before hitting the trails. Our certified instructors will help you get familiar with your bike and learn the fundamental mountain biking skills to build your confidence. This clinic will cover pre-ride bike check, braking, shifting, pedal positions, ready/neutral position and bike body separation (needed for corners and obstacle dodging). If there's time after drills, we'll hit the trails and practice your newly learned skills. This course is an ALL LEVELS class and is a prerequisite for MTB 102 & 103 (unless permission is given from instructor). MTB CLINIC 102 - Proving Grounds 5:00 - 6:30 pm and 7:00 - 8:30 pm Level up! Continue learning the Core Fundamentals with a bit more challenge involved. It’s time to start diving deeper in the second of three Fundamental MTB clinics. This clinic is for you if you need help with: Reducing pedal strikes while rolling over small hills, logs, rocks How to navigate trail switchbacks and turn tight corners Climbing and navigating ascending terrain How to ride straight lines and progress to log features seen frequently on trails. Students should leave this class understanding the basics of ratcheting, climbing, descending, and how to safely dismount/restart during a climb. It is highly recommended to have taken a clinic similar to the MTB 101 course prior to the MTB Skills 102 course. MTB CLINIC 103 - Proving Grounds 5:00 - 6:30 pm and 7:00 - 8:30 pm You’re feeling good and ready for more! Join us for the last clinic in a series of three preparing you for Intermediate Clinics TBA in July 2022. In this clinic you’ll learn: ·How to dodge rocks or obstacles in the trail ·Cornering ·Roll downs (8-12” features) Front and Rear Wheel Lifts (if time permits) Physical Requirements to participate in the clinic series: • Balance, steer, and stop a bicycle • Get on and off of a bicycle independently or with the assistance of a companion • Ride continuously for 30 minute periods • Have the ability to follow verbal and/or visual instruction • Wear a helmet and closed-toe shoes

Cancellation Policy

REFUNDS Due to the high demand of clinics, limited slots available for sign ups, permit and insurance fee’s, the travel arrangements for the coaches and expenses to get to a camp to serve you, Down 2 Bike Project requires a 45 day notice to refund you 100% of the lesson and/or clinic cost. We will refund 50% with 30 days notice. Less than 30 days notice of a cancellation is non-refundable, however, we will do our best to reschedule with you if another clinic is available that season. Weather - If weather or trail conditions are problematic, Down 2 Bike Project will reschedule the clinic to a similar start time the same week. If participant is unable to attend, a credit will be applied and valid until October 2022.
